Last Sunday Nick and I watched a documentary about a man (and some others) who consume nothing but fresh juice for 60 days and cure themselves of illness and disease and lose a ton of weight. This Sunday, we start our own juice fast and hope to feel more energized and cleaner when it's complete!
The documentary was called "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" and the juice cleanse we're doing is a 10 day "reboot." We spent all last week planning our our juice meals, shopping for the right ingredients (we cleaned out the kale inventory at Byerly's AND Target) and cleaning out the refrigerator to make room for all the fresh fruits and vegetables we need to make it through the first week. We hopefully bought enough ingredients to get us through the first week, and we'll go shopping for fresh ingredients next week to get us through the second half of the plan. For the both of us, one week of food cost $176. Could be worse.

It felt like we were taking a vacation with all the planning and excitement that went into this! I'm sure we'll lose some weight just because we're ridding our body of all the toxins and crap (literally) that's been built up for so long, but our ultimate goal is to just be healthier and make better decisions with our diets. Hoping this helps us incorporate more fresh juices and healthy fruits and veggies into our daily lifestyles!
